At WISP we provide a structured curriculum in English, maths, and ICT. On entry to WISP students are assessed in reading, writing, spelling, maths and numeracy. Using this data students are allocated an appropriate class; classes are according to National Curriculum Levels. Subject targets are set and the ‘Reward Board’ features as an incentive for student achievement.
Homework extends student’s learning. Internet access to learning is provided via the web based programme ‘FRONTER’.
All students have assembly, lunch and break activity together.
Whilst the main focus at WISP is English and maths, additional subjects include in-dependent learning, PE, art and a weekly library visit. We also organise a half termly trip to locations such as The National History Museum and the cinema.
