
Year 11 pupils were very lucky to have a visit from the British film director Andrea Arnold OBE on Friday 25th November this year. Andrea came into the Tooting site (with her dog!) to talk to pupils about her early part of her journey to success and what it has taken to get to where she is today.
Andrea shared with the young people the importance of being brave and about how being creative can help you understand yourself and the world around you. She also emphasized the importance of being resilient when met with rejection and life’s obstacles.
Andrea has won numerous awards for her feature films including, ‘Wasp’, ‘Red Road’, ‘Fish Tank’ and ‘American Honey’. She was also Director of Big Little Lies, series 2
