Francis Barber opened, at Franciscan Road in September 1996 as a result of the LEA’s amalgamation of its secondary referral units. Francis Barber also runs a programme for up to fifteen statemented pupils called Fresh Start. Francis Barber will also be referred students who have arrived to the borough late in their Year 11. The PRU has an Inclusion Outreach Team and a member of staff seconded to the QMIT team. This team ensures that Alternative Providers used by schools or the PRU meet the required standard.
